A British diplomat cites Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq’s will to limit climate change

Al-Marsad newspaper: Rosie Diaz, the spokeswoman for the British government in the Middle East and Africa, cited a speech by the Rashidun Caliph, Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, who recommends not to cut trees and destroy the land, to limit the phenomenon of climate change.

Diaz posted a tweet on her official Twitter account, and attached it to the saying: “Caliph Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, says: Do not cut fruit trees, do not destroy an old age, and do not spit a sheep or yolk except for food, and do not burn palm trees and do not drown them.”

Diaz also indicated that today witnesses the start of the countdown to the “26th Climate Action Summit”, which will be held in Britain next year, and continued by saying: “It is our duty to preserve the planet from the Americas side .. let us address together the phenomenon of climate change.”

Britain is hosting the United Nations climate summit in November 2021, after the summit that was planned later this year was postponed due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.
