Press reports in Germany revealed that the German Volkswagen Group will entrust the British Bentley company to the German company Audi from 2021.
It should be noted that so far in charge of Bentley is the CEO of Porsche, Oliver Blume, a member of the group’s board of directors.
The German newspaper “Automobil Vuhe” wrote that Bentley is expected to be linked with Audi further, indicating that the British company could contribute to the Artemis project, which has just started at Audi’s headquarters in Ingolstadt, to produce a luxury four-wheel drive car.
It is noteworthy that the plans to further reduce the group have existed for a long time, and the CEO of the group Herbert Deiss had announced in 2018 that it was possible for the group to resort to the outsourcing system, but at the same time he announced expansion.
In the framework of structural reform, the largest car production group in the world has classified its luxury brands, Bugatti, Bentley and Porsche, in the “Super Premium” sub-group. As for Audi and the Italian companies, Lamborghini and Ducati, affiliated with Audi, Volkswagen has classified them in the “Premium” group.
The “Volumen” group, which is the most important group and intended for the widely sold categories, includes the central brand Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat and light commercial trucks.
MAN Bus and Truck Corporation and Scania are included under the supervision of Tratton Holdings.
