The Kingdom raises a wonderful slogan that emanates from the environment in which this blessed country arose and grew up, and the slogan is a combination of two curved Arab swords intersecting topped by a palm tree that expresses prosperity and goodness, while the swords waving justice, strength and immunity, the palm tree expresses food, prosperity and goodness. The Basic Law of Governance, with this slogan being the slogan of the Kingdom, which affirms that prosperity can only be achieved through the application of justice.
The date of the date palm in the Arabian Peninsula goes back more than five thousand years, and the date palm was the first plant that lived and grew up in the bosom of the ancient Arab man, and on that day it provided this fruit to humanity, and it continues to provide great services until it achieved many victories of the powers of man over the powers of Cruel nature.
There is no doubt that the Saudis have deep national relations with the palm tree, for the palm – as we have indicated – is the emblem of the Kingdom with two swords of King Abdulaziz drawn, and in addition to that, our agricultural history confirms that the palm tree in the life of the Saudi man has a historical historical status, as it is the food, which is the beautiful oasis And it is the striking beauty with which we decorate our homes, our streets and our slides, and before and after that it is the ancient, eternal history, the contemporary rich history, and the abundant history of the future.
The Saudi man grew up and grew up with palm trees and became rich and nourished from the fruitful offering of the palm tree. And God – the Glorified and Exalted be He – said in the text of his dear book, “And the palm trees have long roses which are useful and rise to the sky until they reach an amount that many cannot reach. From the trees, and from the pollen they come out of the stacks in their cannulas that provide sustenance for the worshipers, blood and fruit, from which they eat, save, sell, and invest.
This is an indication of the creative divine power that is evident in the creation of the tall palm tree, with this fleeting length, which made the palm tree a proverbial one in the Holy Qur’an which it mentioned in 20 places, and has always preferred it to other types of crops, fruits and fruits. We can say that our capabilities in the cultivation of fruitful and fruitless date palms are promising, and a candidate to place the Kingdom at the forefront of producing and exporting countries of high-quality dates and delicious ripe fruits.
We affirm that the Qassim region is at the forefront of Saudi cities in the production of dates of all kinds and forms, and it has many vast areas that produce many types of Qassim dates of high quality and unique in their taste and type, and the Medina region is distinguished by the production of other types of unique dates related to the history of the state The blessed Islamic Muhammadiyah, and more than this, the Al-Ahsa region embraces in its guts varieties of unique palm trees and is distinguished by the production of other types of dates that distinguish this region from all other regions, as well as the Al-Baha region is rich and rich in types of dates, the sweetest and the oldest.
And because dates in the Kingdom are distributed in different regions, this spread gives them better economic opportunities, and therefore dates in all their varieties must be a source of the main resources of our country, and there is no doubt that our natural capabilities confirm that we are candidates to be among the forefront countries in the production and export of the finest and most luxurious types. Dates all over the world.
It is regrettable that despite all these advantages that we distinguish from the countries of the world, we in the Kingdom did not celebrate and did not celebrate the date palm despite it being our slogan and our food, and we did not allocate a day in the year to celebrate the immense Saudi palm tree, nor did we renew our sale to it, restructure it, regulate its pollen, and seek to renew it. And to reinvestigate it. Therefore, I call upon the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture to set a day of the year to be called Date Palm Day. We note that the United States did not know the date palm until about a century and a half ago, when American researchers bought and transported it from the Arab countries and cultivated it in the New World, then worked to improve its strains and protect them from pests through a network of scientific research that preserves and improves their production and opens markets for them until they became America is one of the most important dates producing and exporting countries in the world.
If we go back to the palm trees in the four Saudi regions of Medina, Qassim, Al-Ahsa, and Al-Baha, we notice that there has been a remarkable improvement in date palm cultivation, improvement, processing and packaging, and taking on an economic character and return that can be developed to support diversity and commercial activity in Saudi Arabia, and from this point of view gives us the right to claim To designate a day in the year in which we celebrate the Saudi Palm Festival as an important ancient and traditional national product and of significant commercial activities, and I hope that the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture will adopt this mission and announce the day it deems appropriate to celebrate and celebrate the date palm dear to our hearts and souls, and we confirm once again that the Saudis have them With the Palm, deep national relations, and with the Palm they ten and a life spanning more than five thousand years.
