Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Education Council organized yesterday, Saturday evening, a virtual ceremony to honor the 71 winners of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence in its 26 edition, which amounted to 71 winners.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Saeed Musabbah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, HE Muhammad Al Mulla, Secretary General of the Council, Aisha Abdullah bin Ali, Acting Director of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, Khawla Al Hosani, Chairman of the Arbitration Committees and 554 honorees and workers in the educational field, during which the General Leadership was honored. His Excellency Dr. Saeed Musabbah Al Kaabi said that this year’s celebration comes in exceptional circumstances that the world is going through due to the Corona pandemic, indicating their keenness to hold the award ceremony virtually, bypassing the challenges and restrictions imposed by the crisis and continuing to broadcast the message and objectives of the award.
For his part, Major General Dr. Muhammad Ahmed bin Fahd, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academic and Training Affairs, General Supervisor of Hemaya Schools for Education in Dubai Police, expressed his happiness at the “Schools – Hemaya” award for Sharjah Excellence in Education, appreciating the role of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police And its support for schools and harnessing all material and human capabilities to achieve the highest levels of excellence and leadership.
For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Mulla, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Education Council, said that the virtual honoring ceremony is not only for the award winners, but rather is a celebration and honor for all distinguished students in the educational field whose excellence is a source of pride and appreciation. The individuals and institutions supporting education award went to the Dubai Police General Command – Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academic Affairs and Training, Hemaya Office for Education – Hemaya Schools, while the Sharjah Private Education Authority was chosen as the best educational institution in terms of the number of participations that reached 88, including 16 participants and the Ministry of Education. – The school operations sector, the number of its participation reached 51, of which 11 were won.
The list of honorees included 42 male and female students, including three from the special categories and three winners in the applied educational research category. As for the distinguished project category, it was won by two projects from Sharjah and Dubai, two schools, three families, and two nurseries, one from Sharjah and the second from Abu Dhabi.
The award honored the Secretary of Learning Resources and a teacher for the Special Education category, and 6 of the teaching bodies awarded the Distinguished Teacher Category, namely Nehme Al Habsi from Al Dhait Primary School, Noha Hussein Hassanein – Al Wathba School, Sama Zaki – Al Manar Model School, and Ayman Ibrahim Al Naqib – Shakhbout Bin Sultan School Laila Ahmed Al Hammadi – Asia Bint Muzahim Model School, Khaled Abdul Azim – Al Qarain School for Basic Education, and for the category of the best director of the scope of honor gold to Amina Al-Olili and Kaltham Al-Ghuwais Al-Suwaidi and five parent councils
The Sharjah Educational Excellence Award – which enjoys the patronage and support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, is granted to 12 categories, namely the individuals and institutions supporting education, the outstanding student category, the distinguished special education teacher category, the distinguished teacher category, the distinguished family category, the distinguished nursery category, the distinguished parents’ council category and the school category. Distinguished, Distinguished Scope Manager, Distinguished Project Category, Distinguished Applied Educational Research Category, and Distinguished Learning Resource Center Secretary category.
Through its mission, the award aims to deepen the concepts of excellence and creativity, implement specific programs, appreciate the distinguished, deepen the concepts of excellence, encourage all individuals and educational institutions to develop their performance, promote positive trends towards knowledge and scientific research, spread the spirit of innovation among students, researchers and educational institutions, and raise the spirit of competition between individuals and educational institutions.
