The South Korean electronics giant Samsung Electronics announced today, Thursday, a significant increase in its profits during the third quarter of this year, thanks to sales of the memory chip sector and the continued strong demand for its smartphones from the Galaxy family, according to what was published by “Al Germania”.
The company’s net profit during the third quarter of this year rose by 49 percent annually to 9.36 trillion won ($ 8.2 billion), according to what the giant company announced in a statement.
Samsung Electronics’ revenue during the same period increased 8 percent to 67 trillion won.
The company indicated an increase in its sales of smartphones by nearly 50%, with strong growth in sales of home electronic devices.
Samsung is a major player in the global market for memory chips, smartphones and televisions.
