Saeb Erekat was transferred to an Israeli hospital 10 days after his infection with Corona

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Palestine Liberation Organization announced, on Sunday, that the Secretary of the Organization’s Executive Committee, Saeb Erekat, has been transferred to an Israeli hospital due to his health condition following his infection with the emerging coronavirus.

The Negotiations Affairs Department of the PLO said, in a statement, that “Erekat, who is infected with the Coronavirus, and due to chronic health problems in his respiratory system, is transferred to a hospital in the lands of the year 1948, because his condition requires special medical attention and supervision.”

On October 8, the secretariat of the Executive Committee of the PLO announced that Erekat had been infected with the new Corona virus and had “canceled all his appointments until a full recovery.”

On October 9, the Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, stated, through his Twitter account, that he had contacted Erekat to check on his health and conveyed the wishes of Jordanian King Abdullah II to him for a recovery and his directions to provide any health care he needed.
