Prince Charles’ wife Camilla thanks actors at the Olivier Awards

Sharjah 24 – Reuters:The Duchess of Cornwall and the wife of Prince Charles, the Crown Prince of Britain, urged theater actors to stay strong in the face of the Corona pandemic, when presenting the Olivier Special Award for Poet Don Black in a virtual ceremony Sunday evening.

“I would like to thank those of you working in the theater for your determination and flexibility.

“I ask you to stay flexible. We need you and we miss you.”

London’s theaters, in theory, have been able to remain open to socially distant audiences since mid-August, but only a few have attended.

Black won his award for a range of works, including James Bond songs, which he co-wrote with composer John Barry for “Thunderbolt” and (Diamonds R Forever).

The Olivier Prize was established in 1976 and is named after the legendary actor Lawrence Olivier.
