The Council of Ministers held its session today – via video call – headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prime Minister, may God protect him.
At the beginning of the session, the Council of Ministers valued what was included in the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at the end of “Women’s Communication Group 20”, confirming that the G20, headed by the Kingdom, has proven its ability to lead international efforts and joint work to fight the Corona pandemic and serve humanity. The contents of its campaign have drawn features to get out of the repercussions of the pandemic, and to enhance the readiness of countries for a bright future economy through comprehensive economic and social programs for women, ensuring their participation in decision-making and providing possible opportunities for success, and commitment to the United Nations sustainable development goals related to women at the international level.
The Council indicated, in his speech during the closing statement of the Business Group (B20), the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques affirmed that many of the Business Group 20 priorities represent common axes with the current transformations in the Kingdom through Vision 2030, and a general goal of the Kingdom’s presidency of the G20 The group’s commitment to bridging the financing gap in global health to combat the pandemic, as the group contributed $ 21 billion to support the production of diagnostic tools, treatment, medicines and vaccines to make them available to all, pumping $ 11 trillion to protect the global economy, and suspending debt payments worth $ 14 billion to the poorest countries, In addition to supporting the reforms of the World Trade Organization.
The Cabinet also praised the speech of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince, at the opening of the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence, and the emphasis it contained on the Kingdom’s endeavor to become a meeting place for the president of the world, for the East and the West, embracing artificial intelligence and harnessing its capabilities and capabilities for the good of all humanity, and its call for the advancement of generations Present and upcoming, and cooperate to build knowledge economies, and bridge the digital gap between the developed and the developing world.
In his statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Acting Minister of Information, stated that the Council discussed the Riyadh initiative, which was launched during the meeting of anti-corruption ministers in the twenty countries, aimed at establishing a global network of operations for law enforcement authorities concerned with combating corruption and strengthening frameworks. The Council of Ministers followed up on the overall reports and developments of the Coronavirus pandemic at the local and international levels, and the Kingdom’s contributions regarding global research to reach a safe vaccine, and to ensure that it is secured as soon as its effectiveness is fully confirmed. In the number of cases in general, stressing in this regard that citizens and residents must continue to adhere to the application of precautionary measures and preventive measures and not to be complacent, in light of what a number of countries in the world are witnessing from a strong second wave of the virus.
The Council reviewed the developments of events and their developments on the Arab, regional and international arenas, again what the Kingdom confirmed during the high-level meeting to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, that it was and still is a mediator for peace to end many international conflicts side by side with the United Nations and its various bodies. Its tangible efforts, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God protect him – to follow its march to achieve stability, growth and peace in the region and the world, confront terrorism, combat the Corona pandemic and its effects, and respond to calls for humanitarian aid around the world.
His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi stated that the Council of Ministers expressed the Kingdom’s aspiration to pave the signature of the joint Libyan military commissions for a permanent ceasefire agreement in Libya, under the auspices of the United Nations, the way to the success of the understandings on the political and economic tracks, to contribute to the inauguration of a new era that achieves security and peace. And stability for Libya and its brotherly people.
The Council discussed the Kingdom’s keenness to regulate everything related to satellite systems, develop technologies for launching space vehicles, work to enhance space security, and strengthen international cooperation with the competent authorities in the field of space, referring in this regard to the Kingdom’s invitation to the meeting held in The United Nations on the peaceful use of outer space, to concerted international efforts to lay down the necessary foundations to ensure that it is used for scientific and peaceful purposes, to confront the threat posed by space debris, and for states to implement their activities in outer space in a spirit of responsibility.
The Council of Ministers renewed the Kingdom’s rejection of any attempt to link Islam with terrorism, its denunciation of the offensive cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, or any of the messengers, may blessings and peace be upon him, condemning and rejecting every terrorist act or practices and actions that generate hatred, violence and extremism, and affirming that intellectual freedom is a means of respect Tolerance and peace.

A second addition
His Excellency stated that the Council strongly condemned the Kingdom; The Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia continues to launch drones (booby traps) to target civilian objects and civilians in the Kingdom in a systematic and deliberate manner, which is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
The Council of Ministers also expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation and condemnation of the terrorist bombing that targeted an educational center west of the Afghan capital, Kabul, and resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries, stressing that the Kingdom stands with the sisterly Islamic Republic of Afghanistan against all forms of violence, terrorism and extremism, and its rejection of these criminal acts.
The Council reviewed the topics on its agenda, including topics that the Shura Council participated in studying, and the findings of each of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, the Council of Political and Security Affairs, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Council of Experts in the Council of Ministers about it. The council concluded the following:
First:
Authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Tourism – or his representative – to negotiate with the Hungarian side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of tourism between the Ministry of Tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Tourism Agency in the Republic of Hungary, and to sign it, and then submit the final signed copy, to complete the legal procedures.
Secondly :
Authorizing His Excellency the Secretary General of the King Abdulaziz Administration in charge – or his representative – to sign a draft memorandum of cooperation between the King Abdulaziz Administration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the National Archives Center in the Republic of Indonesia, and then upload the final signed copy, to complete the legal procedures.
Third:
Abolishing and organizing the General Authority for Culture. The Ministry of Culture – and the bodies established under Cabinet Resolution No. (398) dated 06/10/1441 AH – assume the tasks and functions that were assigned to the General Authority for Culture (canceled).
Fourthly :
An amount of (500,000) five hundred thousand riyals is disbursed to the families of the deceased due to the (new Corona virus) pandemic, working in the government or private health sector, whether civilian or military, and whether Saudi or non-Saudi, provided that this takes effect from the date of recording the first infection with ( The virus) on 7/7/1441 AH.

Ahmed bin Ibrahim bin Muhammad Al-Furaih is promoted to a position (oil consultant) at the (fourteenth) rank at the Ministry of Energy.
Salman bin Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Nimr is promoted to a position (administrative advisor) at the (fourteenth) rank at the Ministry of Interior.
Appointing the following to a position (Minister Plenipotentiary) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and they are:
Abdullah bin Khalid bin Othman at length.
Faisal bin Talq bin Mutlaq Al-Buqami.
Khalid bin Hammad bin Saadi Al-Shammari.
Mahmoud bin Muhammad bin Mahmoud al-Nu’man.
– Marzouq bin Saad bin Nuwaih Al-Otaibi is promoted to the position of Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs (14th) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Nasser bin Hamad bin Mubarak Al Shaghatrah is promoted to a position (financial advisor) at the (fourteenth) rank at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
Abdul Rahman bin Fahd bin Ali Al Muqbel is promoted to the position of Director General of the Ministry’s branch in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region (14th) at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
Faleh bin Haji bin Naid Al-Enezi is promoted to the position of (Planning and Human Resources Development Consultant) at the (fourteenth) rank at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
