Palestinian producer Mai Odeh wins Variety Magazine Award for Best Arab Talent

Cairo: The American entertainment magazine Variety granted its annual award for the best Arab talent in the Middle East to Palestinian producer Mai Odeh.

Mai received the award during a ceremony held on the sidelines of activities El Gouna Film Festival Currently located in the tourist resort overlooking the Red Sea.

The festival, in its fourth session, will screen a movie (200 meters) produced by Mai Odeh and directed by Amin Nayfeh as part of the feature film competition.

May, born in 1981 after receiving the award, said: “I consider the award to be one of the most important awards in the field of cinema around the world.

She added, “I am very happy that I am a productive woman and for the first time he produced a long film, and proud that there is an appreciation for the role of the producer as it is customary to give the director more appreciation.”

And she continued: “I would love to dedicate this award to my family who still do not know what I do in life, and all of the producers in all countries who share my work with me.”

The Palestinian producer previously presented the short films (Azraqa), (Al-Obour), (Green Maradona), the two documentaries (Diary) and (Roshmia), and also participated in directing (Gaza with Their Eyes) with Reham Al-Ghazali.
