Joachim Loew, Germany coach, Syrian-German Mahmoud Daoud, midfielder for Borussia Dortmund, has been summoned to the list of the “Manshafts” team, in preparation for the resumption of the European Nations League competitions.
And the German national team account on “Twitter” published the list of 29 players, including Mahmoud Daoud, born in Syria.
With this summoning, the coach of the Germany national team has ended all dreams of the Syrian national team and its Tunisian coach, Nabil Maaloul, who was a Yemeni in persuading Mahmoud Daoud, to represent the “Nusour Qassioun” team instead of the “Manshafet”.
Mahmoud Daoud, 24, who moved with his parents to live in Germany when he was a baby, previously represented Germany’s national teams in the junior and youth categories, but he had never been in the coach’s battalion.
The German national team is scheduled to play a friendly match against Turkey, next Wednesday, before it faces Ukraine and Switzerland successively in the European Nations League group stage.
Mahmoud Daoud returned to the Dortmund squad for the first time since last May, during the match that the “Festival Lions” lost to Bayern Munich (2-3), last Wednesday, in the German Super Cup.
