The Spanish club Sevilla, the European Football League champion, announced today, Monday, that it has reached an agreement to join Moroccan winger Osama El Idrissi from Dutch club Azd Alkmaar.
The Andalusian club said in a statement: “Seville and Alkmaar have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of wing Osama Idrissi to the Spanish team until 2025,” without revealing the value of the deal, but media reports estimated it at 16 million euros.
The Moroccan international player is expected to undergo medical examinations at a later time before presenting it to the media.
The Dutch-born Idrissi will be the fourth Arab and Moroccan player in the Seville squad, which currently includes the Moroccan trio, goalkeeper Yassine Bono, striker Youssef El Nassiri and wingman Mounir El Haddadi.
The 24-year-old Al-Idrissi joined Alkmaar in 2018 from Groningen, and played 98 matches with the team, during which he scored 37 goals and provided his teammates with 25 assists.
