Bayern Munich, the European and German champions, has officially announced a contract with Brazilian winger Douglas Costa on loan for one season, coming from Juventus.
Bayern said in a statement: “Bayern Munich is pleased to announce the signing of Douglas Costa, who previously played for Bavarian during the period between 2015 and 2017, coming from Juventus on loan.”
Bayern Munich sporting director Hassan Salih Hamidic commented on the completion of the contract with Costa, saying: “Douglas joining strengthens the team. We now have good wings with Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, Jamal Musiala and Douglas. This gives the coach the opportunity to rely on individual skills in a way. “It’s reasonable. Douglas knows Bayern very well and will find his way here very quickly.”
On his part, Costa said: “I am very happy to play for Bayern Munich again. I have had great times here and achieved many successes. I am sure we will win titles again.”
