The artist Abdullah Al-Sadhan narrated some details about a meeting he had with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, when he was governor of the Riyadh region, and what the king said to him about the “Daho” neighborhood in Riyadh.
Al-Sadhan said that during that meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques initiated him, saying: “This neighborhood (Daho) will be restored in the future, and it will benefit you in photography.”
He added that King Salman asked him and whoever was with him to take a tour of the neighborhood before the restoration work began.
Al-Sadhan attached his speech with a video clip showing a side of the neighborhood after the restoration of its mud houses, and the videographer stated that the neighborhood is between 200 and 250 years old, and is expected to open soon, as it will include cafes, restaurants and shops selling heritage souvenirs.
From the memories I had the honor to meet the father of everyone, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz
When he was governor of the Riyadh region, God bless him with health and wellness.
Then he hastened to say this neighborhood (Daho) will be restored in the future, and it will benefit you in photography, and he asked us to take a tour of the neighborhood before the restoration starts. pic.twitter.com/oUydBParZh
