Lebanese media sources said that a Syrian child was shot dead in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, at dawn today, Thursday, October 29.
The Lebanese National Media Agency reported that an unknown person fired a “Kia Picanto”, Tahini-colored car, at a supermarket in Boulevard Antoine Shakhtoora in Dekwaneh at dawn, resulting in the killing of a 14-year-old Syrian, and three wounded.
The agency added that the competent security services have begun conducting investigations to find out the circumstances of the crime and to determine the identity of the perpetrator.
Last week, a 44-year-old Lebanese citizen killed his wife, who holds Syrian nationality, cut her off and put them in bags in front of his two children (6 years and 4 years old) in Lebanon, then committed suicide.
There are more than one million Syrian refugees registered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Lebanon, while the Lebanese government estimates that the actual number of Syrians in the country is 1.5 million.
