The figures released by Statistics Center Abu Dhabi today showed that Saudi Arabia tops the list of the emirate’s most important trading partners with a rate of 22.4%. An amount of approximately 18 billion dirhams in the same monitoring period.
Industrial supplies trade accounted for about 45.6% of the total non-oil commodity trade in Abu Dhabi during the first five months of this year.
Statistics showed that the value of Abu Dhabi’s imports of non-oil commodities reached 42.24 billion dirhams during the period from January to the end of May, while the value of export trade reached 23.2 billion dirhams and 14.8 billion dirhams for re-export trade.
On the monthly level, the value of Abu Dhabi’s imports during the month of May amounted to about 7.1 billion dirhams, 4.886 billion dirhams for trade in non-oil exports … and 1.8 billion dirhams for re-export trade, according to the figures released by the Statistics Center.
Industrial supplies topped the list of the most exported according to economic categories in Abu Dhabi trade during the period from January to May, with a value of approximately 18.23 billion dirhams, followed by exports of food and beverages by 2.6 billion dirhams and 1.38 billion dirhams for productive goods.
As for the list of the most active in the re-export list, the trade in transport equipment and their accessories came first, with a value of 6.9 billion dirhams … then came consumer goods with a value of approximately 2.48 billion dirhams and production goods at 2.37 billion dirhams.
With regard to import trade, trade in industrial supplies topped the list as well, with a value of approximately 16.77 billion dirhams, followed by productive goods 9.82 billion dirhams and transport equipment 9.56 billion dirhams.
