He said that delaying it without an excuse is a major sin and “teaching” has adjusted the lessons to match the prayers

A member of the Senior Scholars Council, formerly Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Fiqh Society, Dr. Saad Al-Khathlan, confirmed that gathering some students to pray for distance education is not an excuse!

He explained that the time for the noon prayer is a long time, as it is the longest time after the evening prayer, so it is about 3 to 4 hours, and he asked: “Does the student not find time to pray at this time? This indicates the recklessness and lack of indifference to this worship.

Al-Khathlan stressed in the program “Istfatounak” that it is obligatory to pray on time, stressing that it is not permissible to combine Zuhr prayer with Asr for the sake of studying and teaching from a distance, because this is not an excuse and justification for gathering!

He noted that the Ministry of Education has recently amended classes in distance education and have become compatible with the times of prayers after the problem that was present at the beginning of the study.

Al-Khathlan emphasized that “the condition of time affirmed the conditions of prayer, and many conditions, pillars and duties may be waived in compliance with the time condition.”

And he warned that delaying prayer beyond its time without an excuse is a major sin, as the scholars considered that because God has promised woe in it.

And in this regard, he pointed out that God has threatened those who delay prayer beyond its time without an excuse, as God Almighty said: “Woe to the worshipers * who neglect their prayers.”
