Gulf finance ministers discuss the impact of “Corona” on the economy

This came during a joint meeting with the Director of the International Monetary Fund, with the participation of the Secretary General of the Council, Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, through visual communication technology.
The meeting reviewed many financial and monetary issues, as was the discussion of the International Monetary Fund paper “Economic Prospects and Policy Challenges in the Cooperation Council Countries” which focused on the long-term consequences of “Covid-19” on the global economy, the dual impact on the GCC countries due to the pandemic, and the decline Oil prices.
The ministers discussed the urgent priority in continuing to meet the health and economic needs arising from the pandemic, and the importance of structural reforms to promote private sector-led growth and job creation.
