The “Etimad” digital platform in the Ministry of Finance has activated the passenger orders service for government employees, through which it is possible to manage the operations of passenger orders, search for flights, complete the reservation procedures, and issue a travel ticket with the receipt of the ticket electronically, through direct connection with Saudi Arabian Airlines.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for Technology and Development Affairs Ahmed Al-Soyyan explained that the activation of the passenger command service comes within the framework of the Ministry’s continuous efforts for development and innovation and its efforts to support the digital transformation plan in accordance with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and that an accreditation platform takes into account in its services ensuring speed of performance, accuracy in data, and ease of procedures.
“The service provides the government employee with the ability to submit a passenger request, specify travel destinations and dates, then choose the appropriate flight through search options and issue tickets electronically through the direct linking process with Saudi Airlines,” Al-Soyan said, indicating that the service can be used by visiting the Etimad platform, where it was activated. The service in both the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Sports, to be gradually activated for all government agencies during the next phase, indicating that the passenger orders service comes within the package of services recently launched by the Etimad platform, including “budget services, approval market, financial claims, integration services, reports. And indicators, inquiries about salary and entitlements, bank guarantee, credentials, deductions management, financing and sale of receivables, a credit auction, stressing that despite the achievements made on the platform, the development and improvement processes are continuing.
For his part, the Executive Vice President for Commercial Affairs at Saudi Arabian Airlines Khaled Al-Bassam considered that the passenger orders service represents an important project that will contribute to the development and facilitation of services and address the waste of time and effort by shortening many of the previous procedures for obtaining tickets, noting the development of electronic services In Saudi Airlines and its integration with other government agencies to provide the best services to the system of government institutions.
