Washington: The social networking site “Facebook” deleted a post it had posted US President Donald TrumpTuesday, in which he claimed that the seasonal flu is more deadly than the Corona virus.

And Andy Stone, a spokesman for “Facebook”, confirmed that the company removed the post for violating its rules on misinformation about Corona, according to the American “CNN” network.

“The flu season is coming,” Trump said in the post deleted by Facebook. “Every year, many people die, sometimes more than 100 thousand, despite the availability of the vaccine, due to influenza.”

“Should we shut down our country?” No, we have learned to live with it (influenza), in the same way that we learn to live with Corona, which is considered less lethal in most of the population.

Twitter put a warning sign on Trump’s tweet, saying the post contained potentially misleading information.

The tweet came hours after Trump was discharged from Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Trump informed the Americans Upon his return to the White House, on Monday, after spending three nights in the hospital for treatment of the emerging corona virus and after raising his muzzle in front of the lenses of photographers, to go out and not be afraid of Covid-19.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that influenza caused 22,000 deaths during the 2019-2020 season.
