The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced, on Tuesday evening, that it had recorded 158 cases and 12 new deaths from the Coronavirus, a slight increase for both indicators.

The ministry’s spokesman, Khaled Mujahid, stated, in a new daily statistic, that the number of registered infections with the new Corona virus “COVID-19” in the country during the past 24 hours increased by 158 cases, compared to 123 in Monday’s data, to reach 105,705 cases.

Mujahid stated that the Ministry of Health monitored 12 new deaths due to the virus last day, compared to 10 Monday, bringing the death toll from the pandemic in the country to the level of 6142 people.

Mujahid also reported that 99 patients had been discharged from hospitals after recovery, bringing the number of people recovering from the Corona virus in the country to 98,413.

In mid-March, Egypt imposed general isolation measures to combat the outbreak of the virus, including night curfews, banning large public gatherings, and closing restaurants, theaters and cinemas, but it has lifted most of these measures since late June.
