The Kingdom’s embassy in Australia held a seminar – via video call – entitled “Empowering women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”, with the participation of the Chair of the Women’s Outreach Group in the G20, Dr. Thoraya Obaid, and the Head of the Women Empowerment Team in the Group, Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri, and the Executive Director of the General Secretariat of the G20 Dr. Reem Al-Faryan, Lina Al-Muina, and Sarah Al-Khudairi, a member of the Youth Communication Group of the Group of Twenty.
The ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Australia, Musaed bin Ibrahim Al-Salim, said in a statement to “SPA”, that the importance of the symposium lies in introducing the Australian community to the great role that the Kingdom’s government takes to empower Saudi women in various fields, as it comes within the framework of the activities and events held by the embassy in various cities. And the Australian states to highlight some important aspects of the Kingdom and its pioneering role during its presidency of the G20.
The symposium was attended by a number of Australian officials and the women’s diplomatic community in Canberra, as well as a number of academics from Australian universities and research centers.
