The Machu Picchu Castle has been closed to tourists since last March

Peru opened the ruins of the Machu Picchu Castle, which dates back to the Inca civilization, to one Japanese tourist after he waited for about seven months to visit this world tourist attraction.

Jesse Katayama was scheduled to visit the famous castle last March, but the tourist attraction closed its doors due to the Corona virus.

Peruvian Culture Minister Alejandro Nera said Katayama obtained permission after he made a special request.

The ancient fortress, which is the most important tourist attraction in Peru, is expected to reopen with reduced capacity next month.
