The Council indicated that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques affirmed in his speech during the closing statement of the Business Group (B20) that many of the priorities of Business Group 20 represent common axes with the current transformations in the Kingdom through Vision 2030, and a general goal of the Kingdom’s presidency of the G20, and the group’s commitment to bridge the gap. The Cabinet also praised the Crown Prince’s speech at the opening of the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence, and the emphasis it contained on the Kingdom’s endeavor to become a meeting place for the president of the world, for the East and the West, embracing artificial intelligence and harnessing its capabilities and potentials for the good of all humanity, and its call for upgrading the present and future generations and cooperation to build economies Knowledge, and bridging the digital divide between the developed and the developing world.

In his statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, the Minister of Information, stated that the Council discussed the Riyadh initiative, which was launched during the meeting of anti-corruption ministers in the twenty countries, aimed at establishing a global network of operations for law enforcement authorities concerned with combating corruption and strengthening communication and exchange Information, knowledge, and support for the meeting in its final statement of what is in line with the action plan of the countries of the group to combat corruption for the years 2019-2021, from the high-level principles emanating from the Kingdom’s presidency of the group countries during the year 2020, which is the development and implementation of national strategies to combat corruption.

The Council reviewed the developments of events and their developments on the Arab, regional and international arenas, again what the Kingdom confirmed during the high-level meeting to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, that it was and still is a peace broker to end many international conflicts side by side with the United Nations and its various bodies, and continue its efforts Under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to follow its march to achieve stability, growth and peace in the region and the world, confront terrorism, combat the Corona pandemic and its effects, and respond to calls for humanitarian relief around the world.

Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi stated that the Council of Ministers expressed the Kingdom’s aspiration that the signing of the joint Libyan military committees of a permanent ceasefire agreement in Libya, under the auspices of the United Nations, paves the way for the success of understandings on the political and economic tracks, to contribute to the inauguration of a new era that achieves security, peace and stability for Libya. And its brotherly people.

The Council discussed the Kingdom’s keenness to regulate everything related to satellite systems, develop technologies for launching space vehicles, work to enhance space security, and strengthen international cooperation with the competent authorities in the field of space, referring in this regard to the Kingdom’s invitation to the meeting held in nations. United Nations Conference on the Peaceful Use of Outer Space, to concerted international efforts to lay the foundations necessary to ensure its use for scientific and peaceful purposes, to confront the threat posed by space debris, and to work for states to implement their activities in outer space in a spirit of responsibility.

The Council of Ministers renewed the Kingdom’s rejection of any attempt to link Islam and terrorism, its condemnation of the offensive cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, or any of the messengers, may blessings and peace be upon him, and its condemnation and rejection of every terrorist act or practices and actions that generate hatred, violence and extremism, and the assertion that intellectual freedom is a means of respect and tolerance And peace.

His Excellency stated that the Council expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia continuing to launch (booby trapped) drones to target civilian objects and civilians in the Kingdom in a systematic and deliberate manner, which is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and its customary rules.

The Cabinet also expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation and condemnation of the terrorist bombing that targeted an educational center west of the Afghan capital, Kabul, and resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries, affirming that the Kingdom stands by the sisterly Islamic Republic of Afghanistan against all forms of violence, terrorism and extremism, and its rejection of these criminal acts.

The Council reviewed the topics on its agenda, including topics that the Shura Council participated in its study, and it also reviewed the findings of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, the Council of Political and Security Affairs, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Council of Experts in the Council of Ministers about it. Board to the following:

First: Authorizing the Minister of Tourism – or his representative – to negotiate with the Hungarian side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of tourism between the Ministry of Tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Tourism Agency in the Republic of Hungary, and to sign it, and then submit the final signed copy, to complete the legal procedures.

Second: To authorize the Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz Administration in charge – or whoever deputizes him – to sign a draft memorandum of cooperation between the King Abdulaziz Administration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the National Archives Center in the Republic of Indonesia, and then upload the final signed copy, to complete the legal procedures.

Third: Abolishing and organizing the General Authority for Culture. The Ministry of Culture – and the bodies established under Cabinet Resolution No. (398) dated 6/10/1441 AH – assume the tasks and functions that were assigned to the (canceled) General Authority for Culture.

Fourth: An amount of (500,000) riyals is disbursed to the families of the deceased due to the emerging corona virus pandemic, working in the government or private health sector, whether civilian or military, and whether Saudi or non-Saudi, provided that this takes effect from the date of recording the first infection with the virus on 7/7 7/1441 AH.

Fifthly: Approval of promotions to the (fourteenth) rank and appointments to a position (Minister Plenipotentiary), as follows:

Ahmed bin Ibrahim bin Muhammad Al-Furaih is promoted to a position (oil consultant) at the (fourteenth) rank at the Ministry of Energy.

Salman bin Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Nimr is promoted to a position (administrative advisor) at the (fourteenth) rank at the Ministry of Interior.

Appointing the following to a position (Minister Plenipotentiary) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and they are:

Abdullah bin Khalid bin Othman at length.

Faisal bin Talq bin Mutlaq Al-Buqami.

Khalid bin Hammad bin Saadi Al-Shammari.
