Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi stated that the Council of Ministers expressed the Kingdom’s aspiration that the signing of the joint Libyan military committees of a permanent ceasefire agreement in Libya, under the auspices of the United Nations, paves the way for the success of understandings on the political and economic tracks, to contribute to the inauguration of a new era that achieves security, peace and stability for Libya. The Council discussed the Kingdom’s keenness to regulate everything related to satellite systems, develop technologies for launching space vehicles, work to enhance space security, and strengthen international cooperation with the competent authorities in the field of space, referring in this regard to the Kingdom’s invitation to the meeting held in nations. United Nations Conference on the Peaceful Use of Outer Space, to concerted international efforts to lay the foundations necessary to ensure its use for scientific and peaceful purposes, to confront the threat posed by space debris, and to work for states to implement their activities in outer space in a spirit of responsibility.
The Council of Ministers renewed the Kingdom’s rejection of any attempt to link Islam and terrorism, its condemnation of the offensive cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, or any of the messengers, may blessings and peace be upon him, and its condemnation and rejection of every terrorist act or practices and actions that generate hatred, violence and extremism, and the assertion that intellectual freedom is a means of respect and tolerance And peace.
His Excellency stated that the Council expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia continuing to launch (booby trapped) drones to target civilian objects and civilians in the Kingdom in a systematic and deliberate manner, which is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
The Cabinet also expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation and condemnation of the terrorist bombing that targeted an educational center west of the Afghan capital, Kabul, and resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries, affirming that the Kingdom stands by the sisterly Islamic Republic of Afghanistan against all forms of violence, terrorism and extremism, and its rejection of these criminal acts.
