The World Health Organization defines play disorder as “a pattern of play behaviors (playing with digital games or playing with video games) that are characterized by poor control over the practice of play, and the increase in the priority given to play at the expense of other activities to such an extent that it takes precedence over all other daily concerns and activities.”
