Apple announced the new iPhone 12 mini today, as it is the first time that Apple uses the nickname “mini” in naming its iPhone phones, after using it on iPod mini, iPad mini and Mac mini previously, and the new iPhone 12 mini has a screen size 5.4 inches, which means that Apple has squeezed a screen larger than the 4.7-inch screen found in this year’s iPhone SE in a smaller iPhone 12 mini in general.

Apple has made the iPhone 12 mini smaller in size by removing Touch ID and replacing it with Face ID, along with significantly reducing the edges around the screen, and Apple claims it is the smallest, lightest and lightest phone in the world.

Like the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 mini uses Apple’s A14 Bionic chip, a 5nm chip with better energy efficiency and performance than the A13. It includes a six-core CPU (two high and four low) that Apple claims is 50 percent faster than the A13 chip and also includes a quad-core GPU, which Apple claims will enable “console-quality games”.

With regard to prices, it is expected that the iPhone 12 will cost about $ 799 for the basic version, while the iPhone 12 mini will cost about $ 699.
