Reuters reported that a US judge has ordered the delay in handing over to Tokyo two men whom Japanese authorities accuse of helping ex-Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn escape.

The US State Department agreed to extradite two men from Massachusetts, whom Japanese authorities accuse of helping to smuggle Ghosn out of the country, while he awaits trial for financial misconduct.

Lawyers for the former US Special Forces military, Michael Taylor and his son Peter, disclosed the ministry’s decision in a lawsuit in Boston Federal Court.
