Italian football club Milan announced Thursday that its Swedish veteran star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still infected with the new Corona virus, after the results of the tests he underwent positive.
Ibrahimovic, it seems, will not join the Milan derby against rivals Inter on October 17th. Ibrahimovic, who entered quarantine two weeks ago after discovering he was infected with the virus, must get a negative result twice to be able to return to the Milan squad.
On the other hand, Inter announced that the Belgian midfielders Radia Ningolan and Roberto Gagliardini are also infected with “Covid-19”.
Brazilian defender Leo Duarte, whose last test was also positive, continues to be quarantined, while the results of the rest of the players were negative, according to the club.
On September 24, the Lombard club announced that “Ibra” was infected with the “Covid-19” virus, to miss four matches in which its teammates had succeeded in winning.
Despite his absence, Milan made a good start this season, occupying the top spot in the Italian league after winning their three matches and reaching the group stage in the European League.
A week ago, the controversial 39-year-old, known for his fiery remarks, posted a video on social media as he was training at home.
The player had extended his contract with Milan for one season for seven million euros ($ 8.3 million).
