A British minister said that the British government wishes for a speedy recovery for US President Donald Trump after he was diagnosed with Corona, noting that Washington has a specific protocol to succeed Trump if necessary.
“We all want to send our best wishes to President Trump, the first lady and the Trump family, and we wish them a speedy recovery,” Housing Minister Robert Jenrik told Sky News today.
He said: “We know how it is, in our case, when Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced and tested positive for the Coronavirus, he left politics aside, we all want to see him (Trump) and his wife improve soon.”
He added that the United States has a clear protocol in which the vice president will manage the country’s affairs if necessary.
This comes after US President Donald Trump announced, through a tweet he posted, today, Friday, that he and his wife Melania were infected with the Corona virus.
