Today, Tuesday, Carteron announced the termination of his contract with the Egyptian club Zamalek, after he paid the penalty clause in his contract, rejecting the request of the club management headed by Mortada Mansour to continue with the team.
In televised statements, Mido said: “With 90% Patrice Carteron, he will take over the technical management of the Taawon club during the next season, and this information I got from some friends of mine in Saudi Arabia.”
He added: “The postponement of Zamalek matches in the African Champions League championship precipitated Carteron’s departure from Zamalek, some of the fact that he was asked by the management of the Taawon Club headed by Professor Mohamed Al-Qassem to come to Saudi Arabia immediately.”
The first football team of Al-Taawon Club lost to its Iranian counterpart Persepolis, with an unanswered goal, in the third round matches for Group C, in the AFC Champions League group stage.
It is noteworthy that Carteron previously worked in the Saudi Professional League with Al-Nasr Club in 2017.
