Riyadh – direct: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAA) is organizing the World Summit for Artificial Intelligence under the slogan “Artificial Intelligence for the Good of Humanity”, on the 7th and 8th of October 2020.
This comes under the patronage of Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, according to the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”, today, Friday.
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SADAA) indicates that the summit will be held in a virtual manner, in line with international efforts and precautionary measures announced by the Kingdom’s government, to protect participants and attendees from the health risks of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The summit will bring together decision-makers, experts and specialists from various governmental and private sectors from inside and outside the Kingdom, including leading technology companies, investors and businessmen.
The summit aims to build dialogues of global significance, whether in terms of recovering from the pandemic or the trends shaping the field of artificial intelligence, and some of the main strategic considerations necessary to establish an effective and influential system for artificial intelligence will be discussed, and what this means in terms of national strategic options for policymakers.
The summit also aims to provide inspirational insights about future requirements for regulators, investors and companies, in addition to enabling attendees and participants to hear the opinions and ideas of some of the pioneering innovators who are using artificial intelligence to build a better future for humanity.
The summit covers a range of important topics related to artificial intelligence, divided into four tracks: charting a new era, artificial intelligence and governments, artificial intelligence governance, and the future of artificial intelligence.
The summit will address the global changes that we face and their impact on the transformation in the field of artificial intelligence, and will witness a review of how these technologies are used in shaping the new reality in order to create a better future for all.
It also sheds light on the most prominent technical challenges that the global community faces today in the field of artificial intelligence, and how artificial intelligence technologies can be safely and ethically developed in various applications that affect human life.
The summit will include the announcement of the launch of the National Strategy for Data and Artificial Intelligence in the Kingdom, which was recently adopted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and comes in the context of seeking to achieve the Kingdom’s aspirations for global leadership through the data-based economy and artificial intelligence.
