The Russian Ministry of Health has issued a permit to conduct clinical trials of the Coronavirus vaccine developed by the Chumakov Center, according to the ministry’s press service.The ministry said that more than 3,000 volunteers will participate in drug trials that will meet WHO requirements. A clinical trial of the vaccine will soon begin in Kirov, Saint Petersburg and Novosibirsk. After vaccination, the volunteers will be isolated in the hospital for 16 days.
“We expect to complete the clinical trials in November of this year,” said the director general of the Chumakov Center, Idar Ishmukhametov.
Russia registered the world’s first vaccine against the Corona virus, “Sputnik V”, in August, which was developed by Gamali Center, and it was produced jointly with the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
