Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, announced today, Tuesday, the launch of the “Lunar Explorer” project in the Emirates, in order to explore the moon.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, announced today, Tuesday, the launch of the “Lunar Explorer” project on the UAE land, in order to explore the moon, and it will be in the hands of Emirati engineers.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said in a tweet on Twitter: “We have, with the grace of God, launched a new Emirati project to explore the moon .. It will be an Emirati-made lunar explorer that will land on the surface of the moon in 2024 in areas that previous human missions did not reach to explore it .. We called the lunar explorer.” Rashid, “We took honor of the builder of the renaissance of Dubai … who taught us how our dreams can be big and distant.”

He added, “The UAE will be the fourth country in the world to participate in the missions of moon exploration and the first in the Arab world … and the lunar explorer will send data and images for the first time on new lunar regions that will be shared with all research centers locally and internationally.”

He added, “Participating in moon exploration is part of the UAE’s space strategy … to build new knowledge capabilities for the state … and to build specialized cadres … and to advance the scientific, technical and research environment in our country … and the lunar explorer will be built 100% on the state’s land and by our Emirati engineers.”
