The Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed his pride in his country, and his aspiration for a more beautiful future for the Kingdom with the arms of its sons and daughters.
King Salman tweeted, on the 90th Saudi National Day, saying: “On the anniversary of the National Day, we are proud of a great country and loyal citizens, and we thank God for the security, stability and national cohesion he has given us.”
He continued: “You and your fathers before you had a great role in establishing it, looking forward to a more beautiful future with the hands of our sons and daughters.”
He concluded his tweet by praying for his country, saying: “May God protect our country from all harm.”
On September 23 of each year, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates the Saudi National Day, to mark the unification of its territories.
This date goes back to the royal decree issued by King Abdulaziz No. 2716, which coincided with the date of Jumada Al-Awwal 17 1351 AH corresponding to September 23, 1932, which decided to transfer the name of the state from the Kingdom of Hejaz and Najd and its annexes to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi National Day witnesses various activities held in all regions of the Kingdom, including fireworks, concerts, festivals, international performances and forums.
Also, Saudi embassies in all capitals of the world celebrate the National Day in their own way, in the presence of embassy leaders and members of Saudi communities abroad.
