As a tribute to the local art of goldsmithing and revitalizing the sector, one of the finest pizzas around the world was born in Italy, Figazza Luxury, made of caviar and edible gold, at a price of 2,000 euros.
The idea of making “golden pizza” was born at the hands of Dino Forlin, owner of a young restaurant and owner of Pizza Forlin in Casula, in the Veneto region, in the north of the country, to celebrate the supremacy of the local goldsmith, on the occasion of the launch of the activities of the Voice 2020 (International Exhibition of Gold, Jewelry, Silver and Watches) in Vicenza, according to Italian site “vicenzatoday”.
Furlin makes the golden disc 30 cm “luxury pizza” after fermenting the dough for 144 hours, from two types of caviar or black pearl, namely Beluga Caviar and Alaska caviar, and burrata (Italian cow’s milk cheese made from mozzarella and cream) and 260 mg of Edible gold, from leaves and powder.
Gold pizza is only baked upon reservation at least a week in advance, which is served with gold-plated cutlery surrounded by a dedicated box for it, for 2000 euros.
Commenting on “Gold Pizza, its maker Furlin stated:“ This is my contribution and my wish to revive the sector that makes us distinguished internationally, and this is my way to celebrate Vicenza, which has been home to the activities and success of my family’s restaurants for 3 whole generations. ”
