Huawei unveils the second edition of “Harmony”


The Chinese technology giant “Huawei”, on Thursday, during its global developer conference HUAWEI DEVELOPER CONFERENCE 2020, unveiled the second version of its operating system “HarmonyOS 2.0”.

Huawei CEO Richard Yu said that the new system has already been launched, today, for smart TVs, watches and headphones.

He added that the system (the alternative to Android) will arrive on smartphones next December, explaining that the system will be open source in order to open the door for cooperating developers, especially for developing Chinese applications such as Tik Tok.

He emphasized that the system included improvements in productivity, response time and reliability, and was designed to allow communication between multiple devices with the aim of seamless integration between them all, whether connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
