Al-Marsad Newspaper: Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraei published on his Twitter account a photo of midfielder Zia Sabaa on his plane heading to Dubai to become the first Israeli player in the Gulf League.

Adraee wrote: “Israeli soccer player Diaa Sabaa is on his way to Dubai to join the Emirati Al-Nasr team to become the first Israeli player in the Gulf League.

Sources close to the Israeli player of Palestinian origin confirmed that he went to the Emirati club Al-Nasr, in order to sign, indicating that his delay was due to his association with a match in the Chinese League, where he was playing in the ranks of the Chinese club, Guangzhou, according to Russia Today.

Diaa, 27, is expected to officially sign a contract that extends for 3 seasons, after negotiations over the annual salary and the penalty clause that Al Nasr will pay his Chinese counterpart in exchange for his player’s transfer to the UAE League.
