Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of Government Relations Department and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Digital Transformation in Sharjah, participated in a discussion session within the “100 Mentors” program, organized by the Federal Youth Foundation, titled “Ways to Achieve the Equation of Success” through the direct broadcast technique “YouTube” As the program hosts a group of leaders in the UAE and from all fields to transfer experiences and share inspiring visions with the youth sector.Speaking about the most important skills that Emirati youth need today to achieve success, Al Qasimi stressed the need for young people working in the field of governmental relations to possess the skills to properly represent the UAE in international forums and the ability to present the best picture of its established customs and values to others and learn languages to communicate with all cultures, especially In light of the principles of tolerance and coexistence that characterize the UAE, which embraces more than 200 nationalities on its soil, noting the need to invest every opportunity to communicate with others to learn about their cultures and customs and to convey a bright image of the UAE with a focus on cultural understanding between peoples.
Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi’s participation in the program’s sessions came due to his extensive experience in the parastatal and private sector in the country. Prior to his current position, he worked in the field of strategic advice and supervision of foreign direct investment in the Asian region, in addition to working to enhance competitiveness in the Gulf. He also contributed to the development of Studies of government institutions on developing policies to achieve economic growth for different sectors.
Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi talked about the importance of the private sector in the future of youth, saying: “The future is for the UAE’s youth in the private sector, especially as our country is actively striving to build a competitive and diversified economy capable of offering many future opportunities for investors and future generations. The private sector is a rapidly changing sector, with no limits. It is important to direct the youth and develop their capabilities and energies in this direction to achieve further growth. ”
Regarding his passion for the technological field, Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi indicated that this is due to his contemporaneous with the stage of great technological development that the world has witnessed during the last ten years and the ability of modern technology to develop solutions to many of the challenges facing governments, so his beginning was in the field of information analysis to move today to work on data Large scale and artificial intelligence, which are important technologies for obtaining data that can be analyzed and thus provide solutions to governments by developing smart policies using data.
He explained that technology is the primary tool that develops young people’s minds, refines their skills and enables them to access all knowledge and learning in all areas, as well as gives them the ability to keep pace with the rapid changes in most walks of life, and thus develop services as it supports the diversity of experiences of young people, which is an important issue to meet the needs of the future.
Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi concluded the session by talking about ways to achieve the equation of success, stressing the need to classify success so that the individual becomes able to be successful beginning in his family life, and then his working life and to serve his country efficiently and sincerely in all areas with the necessity of the correct balance between personal and professional life By managing time and allocating priorities optimally.
He also stressed the importance of Emirati youth focusing on investment in future generations and the sustainability of this investment along with continuous work to improve initiatives and projects and contribute to achieving community happiness while always adhering to the values and principles of the Emirati society.
