Competitions return to the UAE stadiums after an absence of 6 months

DUBAI – Life is returning to Emirati football stadiums after a 173-day hiatus due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus, when the League Cup competition begins behind closed doors and amid a strict medical protocol.
On Wednesday, three matches will be held within the first stage, which will bring together Al-Ittihad Kalba with Al-Jazeera, Shabab Al-Ahly with Al-Dhafra, and Fujairah with Ajman, and will be completed Thursday with Hatta meetings with Bani Yas, Al-Ain with Khorfakkan, and Al-Wahda with Al Wasl.
And the football activity in the Emirates stopped since last March 15th, before the local federation decided on June 14 to cancel the league after completing 19 stages of it, and the final of the cup competition, which would have combined Al Ain with Al Dhafra.
