The fourth plane arrived in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, today, within the Saudi airlift operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to help those affected by the Beirut Port explosion, in implementation of the generous directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him.
The plane, which landed at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport, is carrying emergency aid weighing 90 tons, including medicines, burn treatment devices, medical solutions and masks, gloves and sterilizers, surgical threads, food baskets, flour and dates, and shelter materials such as tents, blankets, mattresses, and utensils.
Thus, the total amount of various medical materials and devices, foodstuffs and shelter supplies delivered through the Saudi air bridge since its launch until today becomes 290 tons, which were transported via four aircraft.
This aid was provided based on a study of the necessary humanitarian needs resulting from the Beirut port explosion, in coordination with the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Beirut, and the Center’s branch in Lebanon.
This comes as an extension of the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to show solidarity with the brotherly Lebanese people and to provide relief to those affected in the face of the effects of this dire disaster.
