Syria has recorded the highest daily death toll from the Kurna virus, with the Ministry of Health announcing five new deaths today, Tuesday.
The ministry said that the number of deaths from the virus rose to 73, and it was distributed over Damascus, which today recorded two deaths, and one death in each of Hasaka, Homs and Deir Ezzor.
The Ministry also announced the registration of 80 new injuries today, slightly down from yesterday, in which 87 injuries were announced, which is the highest daily rate of injuries.
According to the new statistics, the number of injuries increased to 1844, most of which were distributed in Damascus (18 injuries), Aleppo 17, Lattakia 5, Damascus countryside 5, Homs 4, Hasaka 2, and Tartous 3 in Hama.
The Ministry also announced the recovery of 6 cases, bringing the number of recoveries to 431.
