Chelsea player Pedro Rodriguez announced on Tuesday that he had undergone a successful operation following a shoulder injury.
Pedro was injured in his last game with Chelsea, in front of his neighbor Arsenal (1-2), in the FA Cup final, last Saturday.
Pedro participated in the place of American striker Christian Policic, who scored the goal of the foot “to the blues” at the beginning of the first half, before he in turn suffered a back thigh muscle injury, and exited the field.
“The surgery went well, I will be back soon. It was unfortunate not to win the FA Cup, thank you for your support,” Pedro said on his Instagram account.
Media reports stated that Pedro, whose contract with Chelsea expires at the end of this month, agreed to move to Rome, Italy, in a free transfer.
