Jordan announces that an Iraqi minister was infected with Corona and quarantined his Jordanian counterpart after receiving him

Jordan announced that the Iraqi Minister of Communications, Arkan Al-Shaibani, was infected with the Corona virus, during his official visit to the Kingdom, which required taking the necessary measures.

Today, Monday, the Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Al-Adayleh, said that the results of Al-Shaibani’s examination, which were conducted for him in Jordan, are positive, which requires the implementation of the medical procedures in force, to protect the Iraqi minister.

Al-Adayleh stressed that Al-Shaibani is welcomed, cared and interested in Jordan. He is completely free to receive treatment in the Kingdom or to return to Iraq.

Al-Adayleh explained that the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Muthanna Gharaibeh, received his counterpart Al-Shaibani at the airport upon his arrival in Jordan, in compliance with the measures of separation and prevention.

Al-Gharaybeh is currently committed to home quarantine and to work from home as a precaution.

And Al-Shaibani arrived in Jordan on Friday on an official visit, and he was examined for Corona as part of the health protocol procedures in force for official delegations.

Al-Shaibani is the second Iraqi minister to contract the virus, after the Minister of Culture, Hassan Nazim, who announced his recovery last month.
