In the new iQOO Super FlashCharge 120W charging technology, the battery cells line up in a new matrix, and thanks to the new design, 50 percent of the battery can be charged in just five minutes. The current is converted from 20V at 6 ampere to 10 ampere at 12 volts with two electronic circuits divided into equal size charging two batteries with a capacity of 2000mAh each. Any smartphone using this technology should come with additional graphite layers and some additional internal cooling to keep the temperature down and protect the motherboard.
We’ll see the first iQOO smartphone use this fast charging technology later this month. It looks like this phone will be aimed at gamers, given the nature of the brand, but it’s very likely that we’ll see a regular smartphone with 120W FlashCharge sooner rather than later.
