A surprise in the Catalan club training
August 01, 2020
French attackers Antoine Griezmann and Osman Dembele returned to participate in the group training of their Spanish team, Barcelona, on Saturday after recovering from the injury, according to the club, days before the resumption of the Champions League matches.
The Catalan club resumed its training this week in preparation for facing its Italian guest Napoli next Saturday in the second leg of the Champions League final (1-1 round).
Griezmann suffered a muscle injury in the right leg thigh during the match against Valladolid on July 11 in the penultimate stage of the La Liga title he won Real Madrid.
In contrast, the Dembele season was more complicated, as he suffered a right thigh injury, relapsed during training on February 3 and underwent surgery on 11 February in Finland.
Today, the club published on its website, a picture of the French stars, accompanied by the phrase “The good news today comes from the French strikers, Othman Dembele and Antoine Griezmann, who participated in the exercises with the group and ended part of it.”
Dembele is unlikely to be in front of Napoli due to his long stay away.
In addition, the citizen Griezmann and Dembele, defender Clement Langley, obtained the green light after he was injured.
Barcelona pointed out that the defender “has completed training with the rest of his team mates,” and has qualified to occupy the center of defense alongside Gerard Pique against Napoli.
