The Bahrain International Circuit, in the Sakhir area, is characterized by many different and varied tracks, which are also demanding, as the track for endurance races was used in the Formula 1 race for the 2010 season.
However, in the 2020 season, while the Bahrain Grand Prix will be held on the approved track in all of the rounds that Bahrain has hosted for Formula 1 since 2004 (except for 2010 as mentioned), the Sakhir Grand Prix, which is the second round that will be held in Bahrain in 2020, will witness the approval of Outer track of the circuit.
This track is almost elliptical, with its dependence on very long straight lines and high speeds, with not many turns, because it is on the outer boundaries of the circuit.
This circuit is expected to be very fast indeed. As Formula 1 confirmed that the lap will be the second shortest lap in Formula 1, at a length of 3,543 km, and the championship expects that the times recorded in the qualifying classes will be below the one-minute barrier.
The race, which will be held on Sunday 6 December, is much later than it is usually the case at the Bahrain Grand Prix, for 87 laps, and this is the first time that this track will be used in international races.
