On Friday evening, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 1018 new cases and 12 deaths during the last twenty-four hours, which raises the number of injured to 30,662, and the number of deaths to 461 since the outbreak of the epidemic in the Kingdom on March 2.
The European Union has placed Morocco under surveillance since the end of last July, and has already withdrawn Algeria Also from that list for the same reason, Tunisia remains the only Arab country on its list.
A union statement indicated that this decision does not apply to European Union citizens and their family members coming from Morocco, nor to families residing in the countries of the Union for a long time.
The exemption also applies to travelers who have a job or basic needs, such as medical workers.
The regulation designated by the European Union for countries exempt from its visit restrictions is reviewed every 15 days based on the evolution of the epidemiological situation in each country.
