The Saudi Ministry of Health announced today, Wednesday, that 1389 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in the past day, compared to 1342 the previous day, bringing the total to 282824 cases.
The ministry said in a statement that the total number of deaths reached 3020, registering 36 new cases today, compared to 35 yesterday.
According to the statement, the number of people recovered rose to 245,314, with 1626 patients recovering during the past 24 hours, leaving 34,490 active cases, including 1991 critical cases.
The largest number of new infections was recorded in Riyadh (109 cases), Makkah Al-Mukarramah (106 cases) and the southwestern city of Khamis Mushayt (90 cases).
On Monday, Saudi Arabia recorded 1,258 injuries and 32 deaths, in the lowest daily death toll for more than 3 months.
