The President of the German state of Bavaria, Markus Söder, called for increasing penalties for violators of the rules for combating the Corona pandemic, and also demanded that the rules for mandatory wearing of the muzzle, fines and permits for large events be linked to the infection situation locally in Germany.

In an interview with German TV Channel 1 (ARD), the leader of the Bavarian Christian Social Party said, “I will have complete understanding if the application of strict rules automatically stops in a region, in which the number of infections decreases, while the same is applied. He added that he hopes for this reason that the federal government and the states will agree in a conference to be held today, Thursday, on a mechanism that allows these matters accurately.

Zoder expressed his hope that the compulsory Corona test will continue to be applied for the returnees, noting that the plan proposed by Health Minister Jens Young to end these tests after the end of the summer season is not correct.

The United States has updated the travel warning list to Turkey that was previously issued by the US State Department due to the Corona crisis and the occurrence of terrorist incidents.

The new update removed 12 states from the global travel warning list. The US State Department called on its citizens to exercise caution when traveling to areas where Corona injuries increased, noting the need to take into account the recommendations issued by the ministry regarding necessary travel cases.

The 12 states concerned are: Batman, Bingol, Betlis, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kilis, Mardin, anlıurfa, Syarat, Tunceli and Wan.

The US authorities kept a warning from the states of Sirnak and Hakkari, and the cities close to the Syrian border, 10 kilometers away, due to the possibility of “terrorist incidents.”

The Palestinian Ministry of Interior in the Gaza Strip announced the extension of the curfew imposed as part of anti-Corona measures for a period of 72 hours.

“To further confront Corona, it was decided to extend the movement ban in the governorates of the Gaza Strip for a period of 72 hours, which can be renewed,” said Tawfiq Abu Naim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior – in a press conference in Gaza City.

He added, “In case of necessity, we will close squares, neighborhoods and residential buildings, as part of the measures to besiege the epidemic … and those in contact with HIV-infected cases will be placed in quarantine centers.”

Earlier Wednesday, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced two deaths and 17 cases of the virus.
