Apple acquires virtual reality company Spaces

Apple has acquired a company that specializes in virtual reality called Spaces. According to a report from Protocol, Spaces has a team specializing in virtual reality technology, and the company was set up by some of DreamWorks Animation in 2016.

Spaces has reportedly designed tools for the Zoom app that allow users to hold virtual reality video conferencing and use glyphs. The company has been developing virtual reality products for some time. However, it suddenly ended all of its services last week, without any further details or prior notice.

And the Spaces website states that the company is “going in a new direction”. But both Apple and Spaces haven’t responded to the acquisition issue yet.
