A new proposal in football in line with the precautionary measures taken to combat the Corona virus.
The IFFB has not ruled out the possibility of a red card for a player who deliberately coughs in the face of referees and other players.
This suggestion was made in line with the precautionary measures taken to combat the Corona virus.
“IFAP” stated in a statement that the intentional coughing will be classified as “abuse, insult or hostile tone.”
But any penalty will be at the discretion of the referee who runs the match.
The statement added: “If the incident was unintentional, the referee will not make any decision, or if the player coughs at a great distance from other players.”
He continued: “If the cough is at close range, with what is considered a clear attack, then the judge can make his decision.”
